  • Want a mango orchard in a small space? The Amrapali Mango from Gupta Nursery is a dwarf, high-density variety that fruits early and heavily. Perfect for Nepali home gardens, terraces, and commercial farming. Nationwide delivery available!

    Full Product Description

Why Choose the Amrapali Mango Plant from Gupta Nursery?

Developed by the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), the Amrapali is a legendary hybrid (Dasheri × Neelum) known for its dwarf habit, regular bearing, and superb fruit quality. Grafted and nurtured in Nepal’s climate by Gupta Nursery, this variety is ideal for farmers, home gardeners, and even balcony growers who want maximum yield in minimum space.

Unlike tall, spreading mango trees that take 5–7 years to fruit, Amrapali starts giving sweet mangoes within 2–3 years and stays under 8–10 feet – making harvest easy without ladders!

    Key Features:

    • True Dwarf Variety: Grows only 2–3 meters tall – perfect for high-density planting (up to 400 plants per hectare or 2–3 plants on a small rooftop).

    • Early & Regular Fruiting: Begins bearing in 2–3 years (not 7 years). Fruits annually in June–July (Ashadh–Shrawan) with consistent, heavy yields.

    • Superb Fruit Quality: Each mango weighs 200–300g. The pulp is deep orange-red, fiberless, richly sweet, with a pleasant aroma and a small seed.

    • Cluster Bearing: Fruits grow in compact clusters like grapes – making harvest easy and visually stunning.

    • Disease Resistant: Shows good tolerance to powdery mildew and mango hoppers common in Nepal’s humid Terai and hill regions.

    • Cold Tolerant (for a mango): Can be grown in Kathmandu Valley with winter protection, and thrives in Chitwan, Biratnagar, Butwal, Nepalgunj, and Dharan.
